Hiring a Home Improvement Contractor
1. Do you know your budget? If you do: we can work up ideas that stay within it. If you don't, no problem, we can work up a couple options and you can get an idea of what your project will cost.
2. Estimates versus Proposals: Estimates are given with lesser information and are subject to change prior to going to contract. Email us photos and ideas and we’ll give you a ballpark estimate so you’ll know if your project is something you’d like to pursue. When we come out to meet with you we will work up a proposal in the days following. A proposal is a more formal cost reflection of the project and (in our case) rarely ever changes by the time your project goes to contract. Both items are free unless you are a new customer whose property is under contract. While we always enjoy meeting new people we do require a nominal trip charge when the purpose of the proposal is primarily to assist with the closing process on a property. If the project is pursued the trip charge is credited back to you.
3. Contracts: Our contract spells out the rights and responsibilities of everyone involved. Once you've accepted a proposal we email it to you a couple days ahead of a signing meeting so you have some time to read it over. We will never rush you to sign one. Some items are required by law, some clauses are written in stone, and some clauses are negotiable. Generally we will not make any major changes to it without a compelling reason, but, every project is unique so if you have concerns feel free to ask.
4. Vacation Homes: We keep our vacation home owners updated via text, emailed photos and private web pages. You will always know the progress of your project. Call today! (267) 226-8293

Our Contractor Recommendations
Last summer we noticed that the chimney on our vacation home in the Poconos was crumbling and falling down. Not living in the area, we didn't know who to call. I researched contractors and called Bill. He came out and gave us a free estimate (another contractor charged us $125). We hired Bill. He showed up when he was supposed to, finished the job on time, and kept to the amount he quoted us on the estimate. We are very happy with his work and I highly recommend him.It was a pleasant experience and not the stressful one I was expecting.

Hi Folks, I have had Bill over to our place on several occasions, he has always been timely, honest and a hard worker. He did a Patio Slab for us a couple of years ago, the job was excellent, he has been fair in his prices , to this day the Patio has no cracking or pealing. He also repaired a porch pile on for us, and no problems with this either. Jim
It has been a pleasure working with you.

Hi,
I used Bill Pearn last year to do masonry, chimney and some roof work. He was EXCELLENT!
I had several contractors in the past several years try to rectify my leaking problem. I cant tell you how much money I wasted on them.
Bill was extremely reliable (showed up when he said he would) completed everything in a timely manner and followed thru to see if everything was alright. My roofer told me he did an excellent job.
For the first time in years I had no leaks!
He is very nice and very easy to work with.
Hope this is helpful to you in your decision,
Sincerely,
Lori

Hello!
Just under four years ago, I purchased my home. It was, unfortunately, a wreck. One of the biggest problems was the giant chimney for the house's two fireplaces. Bill Pearn inspected the whole thing, explained exactly what was wrong (I know nothing about chimneys), and what should be done to fix the problems. He gave me an excellent quote and stuck to it. He arrived for work exactly when he said he would and worked continuously until the job was done. Honestly, I've never seen anyone work as hard as he did. He also went out of his way to work with my roofer so that the two jobs would be integrated. The repairs are beautiful and I have had no problems. Since having those repairs done, I have become friends with Bill and his family. I can say without exception that what I admire most about Bill is his professionalism, commitment to his family, and his integrity. I recommend Bill Pearn without hesitation. Kaye I had been searching for about a year for someone to tackle my leaking basement walls. I found Bill on the internet. He came, evaluated my problem and gave me a reasonable price for his work. When he noticed other issues, he gave me choices on how to resolve them ( without pressure). His work is excellent and my water issues have been resolved. He is a skilled mason, and a talented craftsman. I will call on him again.

The workmanship on the stone covering the chimney was perfect. Everyone who stops by said the work you did was perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend your business to anyone looking to have a job well done.
